Player Development.
Junior players are encouraged and coached to the best of their ability, promoting them for Devon county junior trials in an attempt to obtain squad places.

The club has four active coaches and offer adult and junior coaching on request.

League Teams.
High Bickington is a small club but field 5 teams in the North Devon League, it is the club's aim to field all members in teams where possible, regular opportunities to play as a reserve or to be fielded in other teams arise throughout the season.
Support to the Devon and North Devon committees.
Several club members hold active roles on various committees, helping to sustain order and growth within the 2 associations.
Affiliation.
Every member of High Bickington Badminton Club has the option to be fully affiliated to Badminton England, Devon County and registered to the North Devon League. This provides basic injury insurance, the entitlement to play in tournaments and sanctioned events outside North Devon, it provides members eligibility to play in the North Devon Tournament at Easter. This also makes players eligible to play for Junior or senior county squads if selected.

Members can also opt for a 'Non Compete' membership at a slightly reduced cost, this will allow them to play North Devon League matches but none of the other activities mentioned above, unless an additional fee is paid at each tournament entered.
